PHOTO CHALLENGE #18-WHAT I AM READING

The Book of Mormon --Another Testament of Jesus Christ, is one of the books I like to read daily. The Bible is another. OK. Did I say daily? I do try, but just for honesty sake, let me be clear...I try daily. I find peace and guidance in them. As I read, I generally find something that was written just for me! How does the Lord do that?

Next, is my Kindle!! Is it wrong to love your Kindle? There are great fictional novels for 99 cents. The Bible-whole and complete-99 cents! The entire works of Agatha Christie cost me $2.99! I don't have the Kindle Fire, just the plain-more than I will ever need-Kindle.

The next book is called Pumpkin Roll. It is the 5th in a series of culinary mysteries by Josi Kilpack. Easy mindless murder mystery reading with recipes (which are great) included. I do like to get lost in a good book that doesn't take a whole lot of thought. This is just one of many.

Last, but by far not least, is my mother-in-law's letter. I get one every week and she writes better than any author you would ever read! She is the most detailed writer I have ever encountered. When she weaves her tales, you have been there. Even if it is just a trip to Safeway! Love her letters! I have kept a majority of them and one day...someone else will have to throw them away.

I was thinking that same thing Miche. How could we EVER throw grandma's letters away? And all the comics? :) Thanks mom for sharing all of your great books with me. I never liked to read, but in the last year I can't get enough. It helps me get away from my everyday life!

I read all of the Sadie Hoffmiller books. Loved 'Pumpkin Roll". She is my kind of woman--EVERYTHING reminds her of good food. :-)
